Incorporating the personality and vision of clients into what I do is a joy.  My work has included calligraphing envelopes for wedding invitations; personalizing housewarming gifts for realtors when their clients bought a home; handwriting a business tagline for merchandise; creating personalized keepsake decor for grandparents, newlyweds, and baby rooms; and calligraphing wedding vows and quotes.  

My love for calligraphy began when my parents gave me my first calligraphy kit when I was in the 5th grade.  I remember my excitement in receiving it, and my first creation was a gift for my mom.  From calligraphy markers to dip pens, from calligraphing envelopes and paper to lettering on mirrors and windows, I love continuing to turn ideas and inspiration into reality.  

Over the years of addressing envelopes for brides, I have found joy in giving this gift to others – hoping that each recipient feels treasured by receiving something done by hand, knowing that each name that is being written is special and significant.

I believe in the value of family – both the one we’re born into and the ones we choose.  My husband said he saw grace in action when describing my artwork when we were dating. His support and encouragement have truly been a blessing in making this dream a reality. We reside in the Shenandoah Valley of northern Virginia with our two beautiful children.

I believe in the transformative and redeeming power of grace, as I have personally been pursued and rescued by grace. I believe there is beauty in each and every single human being. I believe there is a God-given purpose and destiny for each and every person.  And I believe that written words have the power to inspire and breathe life.
